Steve A. Aquino, RFC®, CSA® Named Chair of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2021

January 12, 2021—Steve A. Aquino, RFC®, CSA®, has been named chair of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2021. The one-year position starts January 12.

Steve is president of Aquino Financial Group, LLC, based in Westminster, Md. He started the business in 1998.

This is his second term as chair of the Chamber. Steve served his first term in 2011.

The primary responsibilities of the chair include leading the board’s decisions, and structuring and enhancing member benefits to serve the Chamber’s business community members. The board is comprised of 18 members.

“With COVID-19 in 2020, we experienced an unusual and unprecedented business environment,” said Steve. “In 2021, I look forward to utilizing my experience, insight and familiarity with the Chamber to serve the Carroll County business community.”

“I first worked with Steve in 2011, when he was chair during my first year with the Chamber,” said Mike McMullin, president and CEO of the Chamber. “I am looking forward to working with him again as chair to increase the level of service we provide to local businesses and to help them thrive. Specifically, this year, we want to continue to pivot and present our events and services in light of COVID-19.”

Steve said there are goals and challenges ahead of him as chair, including enhancing the value of the unique programs presented by the Chamber; emphasizing support for members; continuing to promote the value of buying local; and continuing a fine tradition of local awards, programs and recognitions within Carroll County.

Aquino Financial Group, LLC offers extensive knowledge and expertise in the areas of financial planning, business planning and wealth management for families and businesses. He is a registered Financial Consultant, RFC®, Certified Senior Advisor, CSA®, and an investment advisor representative.

A resident of Carroll County, Steve is also a graduate of McDaniel College. He was elected to two terms as the Maryland State President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA-MD) by his peers in his profession. He is involved with several other boards/organizations in the community.
