About The Event
The Outstanding Teacher Awards are a joint program of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. and Carroll County Public Schools, organized by the Chamber’s Business and Education Committee and supported by Chamber member businesses and the school system.
In 2026, the Chamber Foundation will celebrate the 37th Anniversary of this esteemed program. As the Foundation’s largest annual event, the Outstanding Teacher Awards draw more than 700 guests each year. The 2026 ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 18, 2026.
The Chamber Foundation’s Outstanding Teacher Awards program recognizes the exceptional men and women of the Carroll County Public School System who exemplify excellence in the teaching profession. Each year, hundreds of educators are honored at the event, with eight teachers selected to receive the Outstanding Teacher Award. These honorees then become nominees for Carroll County Teacher of the Year.
In addition, the Chamber Foundation awards three scholarships annually to teachers pursuing a master’s degree in education or attending training programs that enhance their teaching and benefit their students.
Any full-time teacher within the Carroll County Public School System is eligible for nomination. Students, parents, teachers, and school administrators are all encouraged to nominate deserving educators for this distinguished recognition.
The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Foundation is an independent not for profit corporation. It is not associated with any government, or government agencies, or any other not for profit organizations.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The Chamber Foundation utilizes sponsorship contributions to provide cash awards to each of the eight Outstanding Teachers and to fund the three Chamber Foundation Scholarships. In addition, all nominated teachers are invited to attend the event at no cost. Sponsorship support also helps keep the reception ticket price affordable for all attendees.

Scholarship Opportunities
The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Foundation annually awards scholarships to Carroll County Public School teachers for the purpose of continuing teacher education that will have a direct impact in the classroom. Recipients will be judged on the merit of their applications, which will be reviewed by members of the Business and Education Committee. To apply for the Chamber Foundation scholarship, please complete the application and submit no later than March 1, 2026.
