Message From The Chair

Congratulations!

Exploring the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) website is a productive use of your time. If you are exploring our site because you're interested in joining, take your time and explore all the wonderful services, networking opportunities, partnerships, continuing education, and discounts (just to name a few benefits) that are available to our members.

Or, you could be like me, already a member, and you need to find a phone number or a business address. Using the website is a lot quicker than finding your copy of the Chamber Directory that you put some place "safe."

Of course, the depth and breadth of the Chamber can't be fully comprehended from a website, but it's a good start! The CCCC is the oldest and largest business advocacy organization in Carroll County. Forty-five percent of the Chamber's members are for-profit businesses with 1 to 10 employees; twenty-five percent are businesses with 11 to 50 employees. Fifteen percent are businesses with 51 or more employees. Our not-for-profit organizations also represent fifteen percent of our membership. In a nutshell, we have a majority of small business membership (of which I am one) and a very healthy mix of larger businesses and not-for-profit organizations. No wonder the Chamber is a win/win investment.

Naturally, any organization also needs "heart and soul" to thrive. The "heart" of the CCCC includes a dedicated Board of Directors and committee chairpersons and members. These volunteers work tirelessly to promote the Chamber and, in doing so, advance the image and reputation of their businesses to the rest of the business community. It's no secret: you get out of the Chamber what you put into it.

The "soul," without a doubt, is our professional staff. They are the motor that keeps our programs running smoothly and fiscally sound. I am always impressed with their genuine willingness to help, answer questions and go the extra mile. If you are a Chamber member, you know what I mean. If you're not a member, what are you waiting for?
