Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t have a website?   You can still advertise your organization with a banner ad or your name displayed as a sponsored link, but will not have a link to your web site.  If you do not have a web site, you may want to create a free web page for your business through the Chamber; check the Free Web Page benefit on the Chamber website for more information.

What do I need to place a banner ad?*

  • Banner ad art in .jpg or .gif to provided specifications, in electronic format
  1. Web site address to link to (Optional)
  2. Payment
  3. Online ad insertion form completed

Can I create a banner ad myself?  If you have the proper software and experience, you may create your own banner ad.   If you’re looking for design assistance, we recommend that you check the Chamber’s Member Directory. Search Graphic Designer Services, Website Developers, Advertising.

 

What is a banner ad rotation?  A banner ad rotation is when a banner ad is displayed once within a designated number of page views.  For example if your banner ad is in a rotation of 3 banner ads, it will be displayed on average, one out of every 3 times that page is displayed.

On the sponsored link, will the order in which they appear stay the same or will they scroll on each page?  Each link will stay constant and will not scroll.

Can I change my ad?  Yes.  You can submit a new electronic ad file after 6 months from the date of your agreement. Ads cannot altered by Chamber staff.

If another business from my industry inquires about placing an ad, will you sell space to them?  Yes.  As with our online directory, there is no exclusivity.

How soon will my ad appear on the website?  Ads (new and renewing) are uploaded only on the last business day of each month.

If I select a 6 month term, will my ad automatically renew?  No.  All ad space must be reserved, payment received and a new application must be completed.

How many visits does the Chamber’s website get?  We are getting on average over 500 individuals/month, 6000 visits/month, 15,000 pages visited/month. We expect significant increases in these numbers as more members use the online event registration. 

May I purchase more than one banner ad rotation or more than one banner ad spot?  Yes.
