Outstanding Teacher Award

Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the Twenty-second Annual Outstanding Teacher Awards. Outstanding Teacher Awards recognize the men and women of the Carroll County Public School System who represent excellence in the teaching profession.  

Who is eligible? Any full-time elementary, middle, high school, career & technology, or special education teacher, counselor or media specialist in the Carroll County Public School System. 

Who can make a nomination? Parents, students, fellow teachers and school administration may submit a nomination.

Nominators are urged to think of teachers who have made a difference in their life or a student’s life.  Please give specific examples of the teacher’s impact and fully answer the form’s three questions.

All nominated teachers will be notified and asked to submit a Biographical Form. All teachers sending in their Biographical Form will be considered for an award.  Those who do not submit a Biographical Form are ineligible for a certificate and consideration for an Outstanding Teacher Award.

Certificates will be presented at the Outstanding Teacher Reception & Award Program on March 24, 2010 to all eligible teachers and the Chamber's eight Outstanding Teachers announced.

1. Give specific examples of how this teacher inspires students to learn.

2. Give specific examples ofhow thi teacher builds confidence and self esteem.

3. Give specific examples of the ways that this teacher helps students apply what they have learned to real world situations

Nominations are closed, any received after 5:00 PM on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 will not be considered.

Nomination forms must be received (not just postmarked) by Monday, February 1 before 5:00 PM in the Chamber office.

Nominations received after 5:00 PM will not be considered.
